Hi, I am Dr. My Le, and welcome to my dental practice! I have always had a passion for art and science as it was something that I naturally excelled in at school. I am so very lucky as the field of dentistry uniquely encompasses both art and science. This allows me to live out my passion while utilizing my skills.
I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Manitoba. Upon graduation, I relocated to Northern Alberta and practiced extensively in the beautiful town of Peace River. My most cherished moments involved treating emergency patients in the palliative care unit at the Peace River Hospital.
I have always wanted to offer the best care possible for all my patients and running my own clinic has allowed me to put this vision into full practice. Dentistry is a fantastic profession – I love getting to the “root” of the problem while being a tooth-artist at the same time.
In my seven years of practice, I have seen many patients who were severely anxious about dental treatment. My goal is to always provide a calm and stress-free environment for them and to listen to their concerns and create an individualized treatment plan based on their specific needs. I am certified to offer Nitrous Oxide or Oral Sedation and have helped many patients overcome their fear of dentistry using a combination of dental sedation with my naturally calming demeanor.
As a general dentist, I can predictably and quickly get someone out of pain or enhance their smile to give them that extra boost of confidence to speak, smile, laugh, meet people, go for job interviews, and have their photo taken.
I also have a strong interest in dealing with difficult surgical cases such as Wisdom Teeth Extractions. As well, I also enjoy Orthodontic Cases, and Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry procedures such as Invisalign Invisible Braces and Smile Makeovers. These dental treatments allow me to provide comprehensive and tailored dental care.
Outside of the office, I like to live a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and can be found cooking up healthy, delicious and unique recipes. I work with a personal trainer and enjoy being physically active. I take pleasure in creating artwork outside the dental practice —you can find some of my artwork displayed in our office!
“I believe that there is a strong link between our oral health and overall health. If I can help my patients achieve a beautiful and healthy smile, it not only enhances their state of mind but more importantly, dramatically reduces their risk of acquiring more severe health conditions such as diabetes, heart, respiratory and other systemic diseases.”
